Let him play!

Breaking news, ladies and gentlemen! The officials from the MLB and National Science Foundation (NSF) have ruled that in order to determine whether or not Jack1796 is qualified to play in the majors, there will have to be a "intermediate period of play." By this, they mean to allow Jack to play for eight games, during this time his actions and performance will be closely monitored.

Representatives of other teams cite that Jack1796 should not be allowed to play because he will have an unfair advantage over other players, such as strength and agility. However, Prof. Lattimer, the scientist who built Jack, assures them that Jack was designed to perform physically lower to that of most androids, therefore he will be relatively equal to other players. When asked, "Then what's the point of having an android player?", officials responded that drug and steroid use, corked bats, and other various forms of cheating are currently quite prominent in the league. "Jack1796", they say "is incapable of lying, and therefore, incapable of cheating or breaking any form of rule."

Jack1796 begins his first game this Saturday is Los Angeles, we'll keep you posted!
